I've done workshops all over the world. This was different. Master Liu doesn't perform — she teaches. Two hours later, I had a bamboo fan I made with my own hands and a story I still tell people back home.

I booked this because the photos looked insane. I didn't expect to feel emotional. When the first shower of molten iron lit up the night and the dragon came through — I understood why this has been alive for a thousand years.

My husband dragged me to a nuclear bunker. I rolled my eyes. By the end, I was the one asking all the questions. The underwater museum was hauntingly beautiful. Laurence & Paolo made everything make sense. We're still talking about it.
