Taoping Qiang Village: A living museum of Qiang ethnic culture, located in Li County, Sichuan. This ancient fortress village, over 2,000 years old, features a complex maze of stone houses connected by narrow alleyways and underground waterways. The village's distinctive watchtowers, some reaching 30 meters high, once served as defensive structures. Designated a protected cultural heritage site, Taoping offers visitors a rare glimpse into the traditions, architecture, and way of life of one of China's oldest ethnic minorities. The village's ingenious water supply system, labyrinthine layout, and stone-carved homes have earned it the nickname "mysterious oriental castle" among architectural experts.

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue driving through the dramatic mountain landscapes (approx. 5-6 hours total driving for the day).
Arrive in Chuanzhusi County in the evening. Check into your hotel and freshen up before dinner.
Accommodation: Local 4-star hotel
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Huanglong Scenic Area (30 mins).
Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Scenic Area: A UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning travertine landscapes. Located in the Minshan Mountains at an average elevation of 3,500 meters, the area features thousands of colorful calcified pools cascading down the valley like a golden dragon—hence the name. The main attraction is the 3.6-kilometer Huanglong Valley, where pools in shades of turquoise, emerald, and golden yellow are set against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and virgin forests. The Huanglong Temple at the valley's end adds a touch of cultural heritage to this natural wonder. The area is also home to rare wildlife, including giant pandas and golden snub-nosed monkeys.

Explore Huanglong's colorful travertine pools, snow peaks, and forests. Hike or take cable car (own expense). See Huanglong Temple and golden calcified pools.
Lunch box provided.
After the visit, drive to Jiuzhaigou (2 hours). Hotel check-in. Evening free.
Accommodation: Local 4-star hotel
Breakfast at hotel. Full-day exploration of Jiuzhaigou National Park.
Jiuzhaigou (Nine Village Valley) National Park: One of China's most spectacular natural wonders, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992. Located in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, the park stretches over 72,000 hectares of pristine high-altitude landscape. Its name derives from the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valley. Jiuzhaigou is famous for its multi-level waterfalls, crystal-clear turquoise lakes, and snow-capped peaks. The water's remarkable clarity and color—ranging from emerald to azure—result from travertine deposits and unique aquatic plants. Iconic sites include Nuorilang Waterfall (China's widest), Five Flower Lake (with its visible underwater tree trunks), and Long Lake (the park's highest and deepest). Each season transforms the landscape: spring blossoms, summer greenery, autumn's golden forests, and winter's icy wonderland with unique blue ice formations.

Take park sightseeing bus to discover crystal lakes, terraced waterfalls, and snow peaks. Visit Panda Lake, Five Flower Lake, Nuorilang Waterfall, and Long Lake.
Lunch box provided in the park.
After exploration, return to the hotel. Evening free.
